The resilience of an STE system can be affected by shocks and stresses. The severity of these shocks and stresses or how the system is affected may change due to climate change, socio-economic development and/or technological developments.

TUDelft Environmental Engineering students were asked to study a specific shock or stress for a specific topic and analyze solution strategies to reduce the impact of the shock or stress in a “Trend Report”. In addition they added understanding and discussion questions to the trend reports. This makes these trend report an open education resource that can be used as a teaching material for 30-60 minutes to gain insight in typical shocks and stresses that affect resilience.
