The Self-Driving Car – An (ir)responsible innovation? [Teacher version]
When we think of new technologies, we think of innovation. This CBE considers the prominent example of the self-driving car and challenges the students to consider ethical obstacles for its development-process and future consequences. Trough text, video and discussion the students will practice identifying relevant ethical concerns and understanding the heterogeneous character of technological innovation: not all innovation is necessarily responsible innovation.
